30 Aug 2022 0 comments

Different violin sizes correspond to people of different heights. Common violin sizes are 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32. In addition, rare sizes such as 7/8, 3/8 and 1/10 are also available. The so-called 4/4 and 7/8 sizes are for adults (in fact, 13 or 14 year old boys of normal height can also use them), and 7/8 is designed for smaller adults, especially made for ladies. Other violins below 3/4 size are for children. As your child gets older, you'll need a new size violin in a year or so, in the range of 1/32 to 3/4. There is a large size difference between 1/4 and 1/2, so the size of 3/8 or small 1/2 comes into being. In addition, other sizes except 4/4 the specifications of other sizes may also be slightly different in size due to different manufacturers.
