The Classic Reproduction (CR) series of violins are crafted by Fiddlover's luthiers based on the parameter information of renowned instruments. Not only are they replicas, but also a continuation and enhancement of tradition, which is our greatest characteristic, making each violin unique.

Cannone 1743 Violin (CR200) is inspired by the "Il Cannone" violin made in 1743 by Guarneri Del Gesú.The Il Cannone violin was the favorite of Niccolò Paganini. As a replica of the Il Cannone, the Cannone 1743 Violin (CR200) shares its style, with a full and powerful sound that is true to the original.

The Cannone 1743 Violin (CR200) is crafted entirely by hand by a master violin maker, with meticulous attention paid to the selection of materials. The instrument is not only visually stunning but also possesses exceptional acoustic qualities. The traditional Italian violin-making techniques are employed in the crafting process, and to achieve consistent dimensions with the model, the violin undergoes purfling first.

  • Top: European spruce from the Alps, naturally air-dried for 15 years.
  • Back, rib, and headstock: Bosnian maple, naturally air-dried for 15 years.
  • Fittings: Brazilwood.
  • Bridge: French Aubert(Titanium Metal Bridge Clip).
  • Strings: Austrian Thomastik Infeld Vienna Vision VI100.
  • Color: Brown-red.
  • Varnish: Pure oil-based amber varnish.
  • Model: Guarneri Del Gesú Il Cannone 1743 violin
  • Craftsmanship: Italian traditional Purfling First technique, handmade by master luthiers.

In the Classic Reproduction (CR) series of violins, the CR200CR300, and CR400 models all utilize the Guarneri Del Gesú Il Cannone 1743 violin as their reference model. The differences between them lie in the materials, craftsmanship, varnish, and other aspects.

Fiddlover Classic Reproduction Cannone 1743 Violin (CR200) is the only one. It is consistent with the product picture and video, and the color may be slightly different. It will be adjusted by professional settings before delivery, and the violin can be used after being tuned after receiving it.

Taking care of your violin will effectively extend its lifespan. First wipe the rosin from the violin, bow, string with a polishing cloth (included in most of our outfits) after each play, then place the violin in a case to protect the violin.
Then, pay attention to the humidity and temperature of the environment you are in. The ideal humidity is around 40%, and you need a humidifier when it is dry in winter and dehumidifier when it is wet in summer. Please don’t leave the instrument in the car or outdoors for a long time, the damage to the violin in extreme environments is irreversible. We've seen many violinists leave their violin in a hot car in the summer, and then the paint all melts, irreversible damage to the violin. Read more:Routine care and maintenance of violins and bows.
