  • How to measure:
Extend your arm straight out to the side with your palm facing up. Measure from the base of your neck to the middle of your palm. If you fall between sizes, choose the smaller one.

  • All of our violins are made from solid spruce and maple, the best woods for violin making. Solid wood instruments generally produce a richer tone and respond more naturally than laminated ones, making them ideal for students developing proper technique and sound.
  • With over 30 years of violin-making experience and our own violin shop, we are able to offer better quality instruments at the same price. All violins are made by our own workshop and carefully prepared before shipping. Violin bows and custom work are also our specialties. If you are looking for specific features or personalized options, we are happy to create them for you.
  • Many very cheap violins use low-cost woods like basswood or laminated wood, and the key components such as the bridge and sound post are usually standard, mass-produced parts. They often come with bows that have little elasticity. While they can produce sound, they are far from the quality of a properly crafted violin.

This doesn’t mean that cheap violins are “bad.” If you just want to see whether your child is interested in learning, starting with a very inexpensive option is fine. But if you are serious about beginning a proper violin journey, it’s best to choose an instrument made by professional shops with real tonewoods and careful setup.
